Day 1

Traveling by air. Arrival in Bamako, welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel

Day 2

Bamako – Kati (15 km)
After Breakfast and a morning rest, visit of the catholic mission of Kati the project “La clé du Savoir” and some villages in which works the catholic mission. Overnight at Bamako or Kati

Day 3

Bamako-Ségou (235 km)
Departure for Ségou, after the breakfast. On the banks of the River Niger, this has retained much of its charm over the centuries and has been, for long periods of its history, the choice of residence of the emperors Bambara. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Ségou
Mali former colonial capital, the interesting mix of traditional and colonial architecture, and stroll through the pottery market on the waterfront, visit the village Sekoro, the former capital of the Bambara kingdom see the tomb of King Biton Coulibaly, the artisans workshop: Bogolan, pottery, and traditional musical instruments. back to Bamako 

Day 5

Ségou – San – Mopti (200 + 300 km)
Morning departure to Mopti (known as the Venice of Mali because of its many surrounded rivers), it’s a full day travel; the road leads through a magnificent landscape dotted with wild African giant baobabs and thorny bushes. Short stop to admire the mosque of San. Arrival at the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6

Mopti
Visit of the city: canal laced Mopti. His spectacular river port in the shadow of majestic Sudanese traditional architecture buildings flooded evokes the memory of the glorious 14th and 15th century, the Mandingo empires, famous for their flourishing trade between Timbuktu and Djenné. Visit the old neighborhood Taikiri, Sougouni market and in the afternoon, we visit the craft market and stop in a typical bar of Bozo out of the vibrant life River Port. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 - 8 - 9

Mopti – Niger River - Tombouctou on pinasse (around 200 km) 
Three days of sailing on boat (pinasse), during which we will devote to observe birds related to the river and a meeting with the different peoples who inhabit the banks of the Niger the fishermen Bozo, the  breeders Peul, the farmers Bobo, the Touaregs, and so on. Two nights of camping with igloo tents. Afternoon of the third day we will arrive in Timbuktu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10

Tombouctou
Visit the city of Timbuktu, the historic capital of the Saharan crossing. Visit amuseum, the   old library,the famous Djinguareiber mosque,  the craftsman workshops and thier market and houses of explorers. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11

Tombouctou – Bandiagarà (330 Km)
Full day Trip up to  Bandiagarai, through the magnificent landscape of the dunes of the Sahara, with cactus, thorn bushes and isolated villages of the Touaregs. Arrive late afternoon. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12

After the breakfast , A short transfer by car to an initial trekking village. 

Trekking among several Dogon villages built into the cliff. It is The opportunity toappreciate the Enormous talent of the Dogon people and their strong artisticforms expression: the masksritual figures, carved doors, inlaid in the wood, ideograms  etc... Night in a typical Dogon house in the village  

Day 13
 Breakfast
and continuation of the trek.


Day 14

A short transfer by car to Bandiagara, Visit of the city  Bandiagara, the center of herbalism and overnight in Bandiagara

Day 15

Bandiagara – Djenné (150 km)
Departure to Djenné After the breakfast. Arrival and sightseeing of the ancient sister city of Timbuktu, on the colorful market days, see the magnificent Great Mosque, the largest building by the architecture of natural earth brick, one of the Unesco World Heritage; walk through the streets and alley ways and visit the tomb of the maiden sacrificed to appease the spirits, during the construction of the mosque, overnight at the hotel

Day 16

Djennè – Ségou (290 km)
After breakfast departure to Ségou,diner and overnight at the hotel

Day 17

Segou – Bamako (235 km)
Back to Bamako and overnight at hotel

Day 18

Bamako 
Sightseeing of the city: the craftsman workshops and thier market, the panoramic view of this sprawling city at Point G, the National Museum, the pink market of the city and the fetish market for traditional medicine, overnight at hotel 

Day 19

Free day shopping and relax till the night and the transfer to the airport for final departure.
